Pan-Turan

Dear Armenian Friends,

Everything reported here is true. First, I have been engaged in a long fight against pan-Turkism and have also fought against pan-Turk attempts to deny the Armenian genocide. I posted (for free) a book against pan-Turkism/pan-Turanis on-line a few years ago:

Pan-Turanism Takes Aim at Azerbaijan: A Geopolitical Agenda.
http://www.rozanehmagazine.com/NoveDec05/aazariINDEX.HTML

Part 1 details the history of pan-Turanism

Part 6 displays the geopolitical forces that support pan-Turkism. Make no mistake: pan-Turk views are now being presented in western academia as "history" - you will find the references in that this section.

Part 2: Pan-Turanian Claims to Azerbaijan - read item (3) Turks have been in the Caucasus for over 5000 Years [(a) Armenia, Georgia, Albania/Arran] - you will also see in Part 2, that "Azarbaijan" ONLY applies to Iran's northwest - pan-Turks stole the Iranian name to apply this to Albania/Arran as to lay claims to Iranian territory - which they now do. Please note that Iranian Azarbaijanis are different from the Republic that bears the same name.

Part 4: The Promotion of Discord - this chapter has many references to the Armenian tragedy.
As you well know, there are now western "academics" who question the veracity of the genocide of Armenians and Pontic Greeks - these views are being supported by handsome funds from political sources. For the noble Armenians of this forum, you will find these sections of particular interest:

This on-line book posting has caused considerable irritation to pan-Turks - at least judging by the constant flurry of hate messages I have been receiving each month by e-mail for 2 years now.

I also know Adil Baguirov very well. A few months back he first attempted to discredit my credentials as a professor - he was crushed by a devastating retort from the academy of Sciences in the Republic of Georgia - they put him in his place.

Baguirov then used very vulgar language and threatened me with physical violence - he boasted as to how he would attack me with his martial arts skills - incredibly he was foolish enough to send this by e-mail. This means that (according to Canadian law) he is in deep trouble - the Royal Canadian Mounted Police consider his offensive language as tantamount to threats. I assure you that Baguirov is a pan-Turk fanatic hooligan who wishes to present himself and his movement as a "cultural" movement (like Amin Rasulzadeh - the same fellow who applied the term "Azerbaijan" to Albania to please his Ottoman masters in Istanbul just after World War One). I assure you that "pan-Turkism" is anything but "cultural" it is a chauvinistic ideology.

Unfortunately I have seen pan-Turkist ideology represented at the very top "academic" circles in the "Republic of Azarbaijan" - Ali Noruzov, the head of the Political Science Department at Baku University has issued a number of e-mails attempting to discredit me - this has again backfired (Noruzov has not even published a single accredited textbook in the west), but again pan-Turks do not seem to understand when they have been embarrassed and corrected.

Armenians, Iranians, Greeks, Georgians and Slavs now face a common threat: the ideology of pan-Turanism. We can combat their lies if we stand together. Armenians are not alone in the fight against pan-Turanism.

Best Regards
Kaveh Farrokh

One thing our neighbors are unaware of is that their most ardent pan-Turkists are the most accomplished destroyers of the cultural history of the entirety of Azerbaijan.
Adil Baguirov, Armenian hater extraordinaire, is from a long line of fanatics and killers.
Our old nemesis Baguirov, perhaps the most outspoken of the pan-Turkists from Baku http://www.bagirov. com/index. html has now taken out most of his fanatical content and is pretending to be a “political scientist.”

However, here in this article http://en.mirzexeze rinsesi.net/ articles/ category/ history he is typically spinning the tale of how the modern manifestation of pan-Turkism is “not really pan-Turkism”, but, as he claims, is this sort of “common interest group with common linguistic ties.”
In other words, Pan-Turkism is now changing its image with a new form of public relations sophistry.

The fact that the still believes the Manchu and all of the Tungus are “Turkic” still means that pan-Turkism is alive and well. The constant laboring of inducting Turkic speakers into their imperialist ambitions is evident when one merely reads their forums. Most there are much less refined in their approach to this fanaticism. Baguirov, after all, comes from a long line of spinsters
