Barrasso Bill Features Yellowstone in New Coin Series

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Wyoming’s Yellowstone National Park will be among the first sites commemorated in a new coin series issued by the U.S. Mint.
U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) introduced the Senate bill that honors America’s National Park Service sites.
“Millions of people have experienced the pristine wilderness and rugged beauty of Yellowstone National Park,” Barrasso said. “The people of Wyoming are rightly proud of our state’s unique heritage and natural beauty.”

Barrasso – Green Collar Crime Wave Threatens Waxman Markey Energy Tax

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The new energy tax scheme proposed by Democrats may result in a ‘green collar’ crime wave, Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) believes.
“This is Enron, part two. Another Wall Street ponzi scheme dreamed up by bankers and brokers. These are the same financial players who crushed the dreams of so many hardworking Americans.”
Barrasso made the comments following a Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing into the Waxman-Markey Energy Tax Bill.

Wyoming Schools Receive Educational Honors
Burlington and Sheridan schools among nation’s top

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso and Representative Cynthia Lummis, all R-Wyo., applauded the work of two Wyoming schools for being named a No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School for 2009 by the U.S. Department of Education. Burlington Elementary School in Burlington and Sagebrush Elementary School in Sheridan were selected as two out of 314 public and private schools in the nation to receive the award.
